The 2013 BAD Nationals at Thunder Valley Sand Drags in Grain Valley, MO was filled with great racing action from start to finish. Rod Trower not only won the Top Alcohol class at this event, but also emerged with the track record as he recorded a 2.455 in Qualifying. Terry Glasscock backed up his MASD Season Opening win in Atoka with the TE win at Thunder Valley. Terry defeated Tim Hatfield in a great 2.98 to 3.09 final round. Joe McNeill cleaned up in the Bracket classes as he wheeled his Jeep to the Pro 1 Cars and Sport Comp class wins. Charlie Curtis won the Pro 1 Quads final round over Stephanie Kimbley. Other winners on the day included Rick Hatfield (Pro 2 Cars), Seth Curtis (Pro 2 ATV), and Josh Mansfield (Sport ATV).

Day one of the 2013 BAD Nationals at Thunder Valley Sand Drags in Grain Valley, MO was a record setting day of racing. Oklahoma’s Rod Trower thrilled the crowd with a new track record of 2.490 with his Thunder Top Alcohol Dragster. Rod even lifted briefly to set the front end down during the pass, so expectations are that even quicker times can be posted tomorrow. Michigan’s Pat Goodale leads the pack in a strong eight car Top Eliminator field with a 2.980 on the 2.95 Index. Jack Monroe decided to enter the Pro 1 Cars class on top of Top Eliminator and that paid off with the Pro 1 win over Tim Hatfield. John Butler ran strong numbers in the 3.8 zone to emerge victorious in the Pro 1 ATV class while Seth Curtis took home top honors in Sport ATV. TA/TE Qualifying kicks off at Noon on Saturday with the remainder of Qualifying and Eliminations to follow.
