National Sand Drag News - National Sand Drag News | The #1 Source For Sand Drag Racing News | www.NationalSandDragNews.com National Sand Drag News (NSDN) is an online magazine covering the sport of sand drag racing. NSDN’s full array of up to the minute news and race coverage can be found online at www.NationalSandDragNews.com. Here is a brief explanation of what NSDN covers. The fast growing motor sport of sand drag racing consists of race cars that are very similar to their asphalt drag racing counterparts racing down 300 feet long (100 yard) tracks with a sand/dirt surface. The headliners of the show are the Nitro-burning Top Fuel dragsters that cross the finish line in under 2.5 seconds and reach speeds in excess of 160 MPH. Although the Top Fuel cars are the headliners of the show, multitudes of grass roots bracket racers compile the largest racer group in the sand. NSDN focuses on the hottest properties in sand drag racing, including coverage of the Pro Truck Nationals (PTN) series and other large independent events. Other large independent races across the country are also covered. NSDN covers these events with live race updates, race results, news, features, race videos, and photos. https://nsdn.us/index.php 2024-04-28T14:10:36+00:00 National Sand Drag News editor@nsdn.us Joomla! - Open Source Content Management NSDN Daily Race Coverage - Avenal April '14 2014-04-23T02:51:16+00:00 2014-04-23T02:51:16+00:00 https://nsdn.us/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=797&catid=116&Itemid=61 Administrator editor@nsdn.us

Presented By:

Sunday

The 2014 Avenal Sand Drags Spring race wrapped up on Sunday with an excellent day eliminations action. The Pat Norris Racing Team Top Fueler was on a great pass before it powered into a huge wheelstand around half track, and it unfortunately slammed down hard causing damage to the front half of the chassis. Thankfully Marcus was okay after the wild ride. The team is encouraged with their results, and plans are moving forward to have the chassis repaired for the Fall races. Check out this video of the pass submitted by John Semroska.

Norris Wheelstand Video at Dome Valley <--- Click Download Link

Dome Valley Testing Update: We received a note from Marcus Norris on their testing at Dome Valley Saturday.
